About E-magy

E-magy designs and manufactures “nano-sponge” silicon material for advanced Li-ion batteries. With the material, Li-ion batteries enjoy a 40% capacity increase. E-magy works with partners throughout the global automotive supply chain. The team consists of 20 highly skilled engineers and PhD’s and is located in Broek op Langedijk, The Netherlands.


E-magy is looking for an experienced CFO to strengthen its management board. The CFO will take a leading role in raising the funds to execute the growth strategy of the company, which includes the establishment of a new production facility. In addition, the CFO is responsible for the financial and administrative organization (today with one part-time bookkeeper). We expect the CFO to assume a supportive and challenging attitude towards his or her fellow management board members. The CFO will be a statutory director of the company, appointed by the supervisory board. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

  • Development and execution of fund-raising strategy together with CEO, including preparation of fundraising materials, identification of potential investors and negotiation
  • Drive the growth of the company together with CEO, CTO, COO and other team members
  • Reporting of financial data and KPI’s to align the company’s management and stakeholders
  • Planning and modeling of financial data including budget, cost analysis and pricing strategy
  • Management and improvement of financial and administrative organization and systems


  • Master’s degree in finance, economics or similar
  • Work experience as CFO in fast-growth, international high-tech scale-up(s)
  • Proven fund-raising experience
  • Team player, professional, analytical, strategic, self-starter, organizer
  • Experience in automotive, battery or materials industry is considered an advantage
