Over the past two years, our teams have been testing E-magy’s nanoporous silicon anode material in sulfide-based solid-state batteries. The results show very stable performance at a high Si utilization level of 1700 – 2000 mAh/gSi , paired with both high and low areal capacity NMC cathodes, and a cycle life reaching 700 cycles.

According to Professor Marnix Wagemaker from TU Delft: “The porous Si structure developed by E-magy minimizes volume changes and, combined with compatibility with several solid electrolytes, addresses one of the main challenges in solid-state batteries, thereby enabling long cycle life and high charge rates.”
